In honour of the BEST CITY in the world...

Or, at the very least, the best city on the west coast of North America, aka, VANCOUVER, BC! As we have duly noted, I am a fan of the city. And so, here are some things I received in the mail to celebrate just how wonderful this city is, even after our big Olympic moment died down--though let us not forget that Canada won not only the most medals ever for the Canadian team at an Olympics, that we did it on Canadian soil, and not only that, we won fourteen gold medals, the most gold medals ever of a host country of the Winter Olympics, and, incidentally, the most golds ever won by a single country at the Winter Olympics. Ok, now my gloating moment is over. Lol.
This is another Regional Assembly of Text card. They are based in Vancouver, and so are very good at making amazing Vancouver cards. I will wear this pin over my heart. :)
If you haven't been to Vancouver, it's worth it alone for the food. I must say, it is exquisite. Definitely check it out. The New York Times agrees, and that's saying something.
Ohhhhhhhhh, Canada!

Aww.

Got this in the mail before Thanksgiving but I didn't have time to scan it before I went galavanting off to NYC! I think it's very cute. It's from a company called La Familia Green, based in Chicago, and all their cards are made eco-friendly. Very environmentally conscience. ;) They have some very cute cards on their site, you should check it out, and perhaps order a card or two or ten? I don't know about anyone else, but once I get buying cards it's impossible to stop--as I so painfully learned in NYC after 50$ at a card shop in Greenwich Village.
She sent this with the card too, to commemorate our going to New York. It really is a beautiful city. Sigh. Wish I was still there--the winter has set in in Ohio (it was surprisingly, pleasantly warm up until this last week) and there really isn't anything beautiful, not even some delicious tidbits of food, to soften the blow. Sigh.

Oh, well--Christmas is just around the bend and that means Christmas cards. Keep your eyes open for any cute ones.

From California With Love

Got this in the mail on Friday. It's been a while, I know, but school is crazy and I wish all I had to do with my life was scan and post cards on the internet and send them to people and just spread the love, but unfortunately, I have to go to school. One day, I suppose, I'll have to get a real job that pays me more than $7.33/hour. Although, I guess in some respects that's a good thing! Haha ... Anyways, this is a card from my friend in California. Beautiful, random as anything, and a source of great jealousy.
Letterpress card by Blue Barnhouse. I am in love, their site is awesome and absolutely loaded with crazy, inappropriate, saucy cards. All beautifully letter-pressed, of course. :)
And as lovely as that card is, this article is the true source of my jealousy!! John Krasinski at Pomona College? I am woebegone that I was not there to experience it. I don't know about anyone else, but the Office is the best show in existence on TV. How can you not want to sit down and laugh for a half hour? I just have to say, I don't know if anyone saw it last week, but Jim and Pam's wedding was the cutest thing ever, one of the top ten Office episodes I've seen. Sigh. You should definitely check it out if you haven't already, because it gave me goosebumps. And made me wish I was married to John Krasinki.
